It feels like they just never stop attacking, your attack windows are very small, and EVERY boss seems to have some sort of AoE that, just when you feel like you dodged perfectly and got behind them for an attack or two, they whip out to either make you back off or smack you for an insane amount that will probably knock you down and have you stand up into another hail of attacks since, you know, they seem to never run out of stamina. I mean, I'm here commenting after dying for like the 4th or 5th time to a boss. Do you think Elden Ring is difficult because they made it that way through artificial difficulty? Still loving the game tho, addicted. TL DR Enemies have large health pools, 1-2 shot attacks at high vigor, AOEs that you have to roll perfectly but in a certain direction to dodge, and really long unpunishable combos that change up sometimes. (No controllers were harmed, I'm not a child anymore) From my understand magic playthroughs have a much easier time from my experience and friends. I felt like Elden Ring was made to be difficult for the sake of being difficult and I haven't raged like this since I was 13 breaking a control controller over my knee in DS1, except it was every late game boss. Nearly every boss had wide range AOE attacks that could nearly 1 shot you even if you rolled them perfectly because you had to roll it perfectly into a certain direction to dodge the AOE. They all have EXTEME amounts of HP to the point where a 980 AR hammer took 20-30 jump attacks. I felt like all the bosses had long hit chain combos that shredded your HP even if you got hit by 1 or 2 of the hits, usually killing you.

To the point where I can say for as far as 1st runs are considered I have died WAY more in this game to bosses than any other Dark Souls game or honestly all of them combined in terms of 1st blind run. The beginning of the game was just meh on difficulty but later on the game got noticeably difficult.

I conveniently had free time around launch and have beaten it on 1 character to level 125, and am playing through on a 2nd and am currently level 85. I want to say that I'm LOVING Elden Ring. To give some background I've been playing the Dark Souls games religiously since I played on my Xbox 360, I have beaten bloodborne to NG+8, DS1 an embarrassing amount of times, DS2 NG+7, DS3 NG+ embarrassing, and have over 10,000+ on just PVP and work exploration across the board.
